New beginnings

February...wet...time to think of heading South. So, credit cards to hand, I booked hotels and ferries there and back. Not exactly the free and easy way we like to travel but in these straightened times needs must. Hotels are cheaper if booked and paid for in advance. Plus we return in May which, in France, is pretty much wall to wall jours fériés and what they call le pont, ie the adjacent days can be taken off as well! Hotels get booked up.

This year there is a surprise travelling companion. With great great sadness, Beloved Berlingo was retired and Octavia now takes on the task of transporting us.

A note on pictures. There’s a link on the right hand side to Google Album Spring 18. This is where all the pictures will be and I’ll probably only add one or two at most to the actual Post.
