Sole survivor! This little viola seedling somehow survived despite no water and great heat. It has been lovingly repotted. The oleanders are hanging on but are greatly shrivelled. The perovskia is OK and has perked up following a long drink.

The traffic calming is begun with a one-way system taking vehicles round the square.The butcher is delighted - more passing trade- but Bruno less than thrilled by the railings and painted pedestrian figures in front of the bar! Next thing will be the speed bumps...
