Returning from the market across the plain what should suddenly leap before us but two hoopoes! We’d only recently been saying we thought it was a bit early for them. Anyway they kindly sat still long enough for me to extricate camera, point and shoot.
We had rain last night but it’s sunny again and warm. After unloading the day’s spoils (monkfish, prawns, asparagus, a few veg, chili con carne) we went for a couple of hours walk almost to Séguret and back then had cheese and crisps on the terrace…sun just reaching it!
