And then we had to send Gary off on his bike trip to Italy. Good grief, all that sweaty leather.
After Froome's triumph in the stage of Tour de France we ventured out to see what was on offer a the book fair. Got waylaid by friends so ended up sitting under the trees with free wine tasting watching the fashions. And also a Famous Person - Michel Drucker. the David Dimbleby of France.
Well, not quite, more variety show, but an institution anyway.
And finally we spent the evening on Gérard and Jennifer's terrace with Liz, Keith and Éliane, supping wine, eating cheese salami and Swedish oat biscuits... And looking over the parapet at the Soupe au Pistou dinner for the authors
