Smooth if vibrating crossing full of motorcyclists and cyclists and Rugger Fans. Barman sporting a red white and blue wig and a crew member inexplicably dressed as Pierre The Bear (who he?).We tootled down the ria towards Morlaix and had the last croissant, and two pains au chocolat in the nice café in Loquénolé. Then across to the other side for a walk on the beach at Pointe de Barnénez. Not a bad drive across to the south of Brittany and only a couple of routes barrées flung at us with no warning. I found us an idyllic picnic spot near Rohan by the Nantes to Brest canal. Lock and everything! It was getting hot by now as we realised when we got out of the car on the Guérande salt marshes…so we were glad to get to our hotel (Les Marais Salants) in Batz for a cool down before supper. Not sure where yet.
