Joyeuses Pâques

We had a smooth crossing and awoke to sunrise over Roscoff . Then a slow crawl through passport control for no apparent reason. Anyway we then zoomed into town for coffee and croissants at the usual café, anxious in case they’d sold out, it being a Bank Hol. But no, all was well and we got our fair share. It wasn’t yet busy and only the regulars were in, including two most magnificent wolfhounds who I have seen before so they must live in town somewhere.

Countryside was very colourful and everything is blooming. We had lunch on the Etel estuary overlooking oyster boats and away from the hordes! Avocets and gulls. Sausages eggs crisps pears and buttered malt loaf.

Then a meander round the coast to our hotel in Batz sur mer. Coffee by the oyster beds.

Galettes and crêpes in Le Croisic. A revelation…pistachio frangipane.

I did write loads more but Google lost it grr.
