We reluctantly dragged ourself away from the luxury of our hotel this morning and spent an hour or so by the harbour.

First having a petit déj formule - coffee, baguette with Real Salted Butter, jams, croissant, fresh orange juice (€8). I even bought myself a new copy of Pêcheur d’Islande.

It was a lovely morning, sunny, warm and generally bright. So up to the top of the peninsula to look at more lighthouses and islands.

Oh and absolutely wall to wall mimosas this week. In gardens, fields, woodland, verges. Some lemon yellow, some more butter cup. This pic is for Wendy!

We skipped lunch and proceeded round the bay to Cap Fréhel for a lighthouse snap and tried to photograph this immense coven of wind turbines out at sea. Adrian will have done better with his proper camera.

Still a few hours to kill so we decided to do a shop at Leclerc St Malo (wine, milk, coffee) then venture as far as Cancale, oyster capital. It being Saturday afternoon the place was heaving. Half the population of France seemed to be taking the air.

It was also getting chilly so we went for citron sucre crêpes and hot choc. Others more hardy were buying platters of oysters to eat al fresco.

That black dot in the distance is Mont St Michel!
And then, well, we trundled back to St Malo and the port where we now sit waiting for Armorique to appear.
We reckon this experiment has been a success🤗
Loads more pictures in the album.
