Fermentation

The air is heady with fumes! We first noticed it as we drove past the distillery yesterday on the approach to Sablet. And then all round the village in the various domaines. And on the lanes through the vines as we went to Ste Cécile there were smears and trails of squished grapes. Pickers are in the fields. Wine is a'comin'.

Cairanne are now proudly boasting new signs displaying their ennoblement to cru status.
