Taking it easy

Adam was recovering from his mammoth journey, Adrian from his gastritis, so yesterday we just beat the bounds in Sablet. John and Louise drove by en route for home so we said a sad goodbye. In the evening we went to cheer ourselves up at the Florian Cinema...saw Sorry we Missed You, hardly a bundle of laughs!

Today it was bright but chill. North wind. Off to Leclerc Valreas for supplies just for a change. Then up through the vines to Rousset of that Ilk and a walk round the streets.

The church is still barring access to Heaven outside but inside is more welcoming.

Around 12 30 we sloped off to the next village - Le Pègue - ostensibly to look at the memorial to the Resistance who gathered on the nearby mountain. But as luck would have it, the local was open and serving a menu du jour.

Adam is always in need of Lunch! In the back room there were tables, many reserved. Local workmen and elderly folk mostly. We just had the plat du jour and a coffee and Small glass of wine. All extremely tasty.

We returned via Vinsobres and the hills. Glorious long views. Vines beginning to colour up.

There are still butterflies around. Yesterday we saw red admirals and clouded yellow, today just clouded yellow. And birds of all sorts including these two dove/pigeons. Have they had a row?!
