All change

weather muggy. We had a brief feeble thunderstorm last night during the fishnchips and today is big clouds and patches of blue sky and flashes of bright sun.
Returning from the market, which was jolly in the extreme, we notice that Mr. Multiservices is once again fettling next door now the latest holiday visitors are gone. The man must be on a retainer! What can be left to do in that house?

The vines are now lettuce green and the fallow fields, recently grubbed up, are dotted with red clover. Is this a legendary 'herbal lay', O Archers fans?

And, special thrill. Just as we were turning out of the track leading between Rasteau and Cairanne, a joyful stoat danced across the road and flashed its cream bib at us.

The Freiburg two are off today, to be replaced by the Berkhamstead duo. So we will not be friendless.
