We were joined by a parade of tinies in costume accompanied by grown ups in odd disguises and lead by this giant fairy on stilts! Don't ask. We assume it is last day of term.
In front of our café there was a cheese stall selling the most weird rainbow of fromages. Gives a whole new meaning to 'blue cheese'.
Round the back of Malaucène are valleys of cherry trees. All frothy with white blossom and scent and heaving with bees. It's an annual pilgrimage for us. Then home via Entrechaux and a sit in the sun on the smooth rocks by the Roman bridge over the Ouvèze. Our river was full of water and thundering, as white as the cherry blossom, over the weir. Hard to believe that we paddle up it in the summer.
