A bit more cloud this morning though so hopefully it might cool down.
Last night we spent the evening on the terrace at John and Louise’s looking down on la Place des Barrys where a small theatrical event was unfolding. It was billed as Aristophenes The Birds but actually seemed to be Lancelot and the Dragon. Anyway it was a modern interpretation in Commedia dell’Arte mode and sounded a lot of fun. Modern songs occasionally belted out, obviously topical references.
As night fell, Poncho the Terrible patrolled his ramparts, growling at passing cats. We ended the day with another exotic gastronomic treat...fish fingers and oven chips!
Definitely more bearable today - only got to 30 in the afternoon so we were able to sit out and eat on terrace. And lots of those unbelievable white clouds that you see in Italian landscape paintings.
