Bédoin Buzz

Monday and we still haven’t been to Bédoin and soon it will be half term and impossible! So to kill two birds with one stone we decided a two pronged attack would be in order. Bibs and Bidon from Les Vignerons du Ventoux then a coffee in the market square.

Wine obtained in record time. The harvest is still coming in and there was a positive tractor jam at the loading bays. Then to the market carpark. Heavens! It was overflowing, and not even school holidays… The majority of  the vehicles were Not Locals. Danes, Swiss, German, Belgian, Dutch, British, French from northern départements, even a Czechia. The market was full and bustling but we noted that the average age must have been, well shall we say ‘retirement’! Fine weather and off season brings us out🤗

Our coffee stall was well hidden behind the CBD products stall but we managed to find a little table and ordered our perfect strong coffees and hot milk. He called them cappuccino but they weren’t those nasty weak beverages with clouds of foam and chocolate bits. He assured me his mousse was fine and discrete!

We only bought some quiches and tomatoes for supper and just looked at the colourful offerings - all very jolly -  then returned home via Gigondas where we got tea and lemon drizzle in exchange for marmalade and a bottle of unwanted Tavel.
