Today we went to La Bastide Bleue in Séguret for lunch. At last! All these years we have driven past and craned our necks to see if they had any takers…it’s a pretty courtyard all typical Provençal with ladders up the olive trees etc. But for some reason someone had put us off so it remained untried. Until Liz and Keith said they had been and it was lovely - run by the same chap who owns Côté Terrasse.
(not my picture - website!)
So they passed by and gathered us up for the walk to the restaurant. About 40 minutes and a bit of a slog at the end. Hot sun too.
Table in the sun under umbrellas and view towards the hills. 22 euros for two courses (32 for three) and very nice imaginative food. Puddings not that great but OK.
Then the even hotter return, mostly downhill but sweltering.
