Well last night the clouds ganged up and raced towards us with menace. Torrential downpour, gutters spurting over the roads, thunder. This morning it was still a bit shell shocked but soon cleared and brightened back to normal.
So the Rasteau walk was proposed and undertaken. Lovely as ever and not too hot. We could see Ventoux in the distance, waiting for the onslaught of Le Tour and puffing on his hookah producing billows of white cloud. We are hoping we might get ITV4 back at least in time for the highlights.
At the end of the walk - really most unstrenuous - it was beer and kir at the bar just like old times.
On the dot of 4 Vaison Service appears.
Industrial strength brackets are drilled into our crumbling wall and fixed with chemical hardening product. We hope this will do it.
Yeah! just in time for the final descent.
