We are settled in. Duvets wrenched from their covers and discarded. Quite muggy here at the moment. It was lovely to spend an evening with Kaisers in their garden and we felt right at home again.
This morning I got up at 6.30 and went up to see Mme Moulin for bread while it was still cool. And then around 8 we zoomed off to Ste Cécile to avoid the crowds and get supplies. Quite a few old stalls no longer there which is a pity. Maybe just the holidays. There was a moment of panic when we couldn’t spot Nicole in her usual place but then we saw her in a new emplacement by the fountain…phew! She was pleased to see us too.
Coffees at the Bar de l’Union - quite like old times. On leaving the market I splashed out on three agapanthas - always wanted some. They now grace the terrace in a terracotta pot. Man assured me they would last a month…we shall see.
And we returned via TV repair shop where a rendezvous was booked for Wednesday. The very day Le Tour goes over Ventoux. So we can’t either go and roadside or watch it on TV. Might have to release capital and use PAYG data on the hotspot.
Adrian managed to tighten the satellite dish supports enough to get us BBC and Channel 4. Even STV. But no ITV4. Curses!
But thankfully we have cloud today so could sit out on the terrace for lunch without being fricasséd. And it has just started raining. Relief! Oh well, it has stopped already.
Lots of swifts and martins and a new nest under the eaves with babies.
