Off to market at 7.30! Most stalls already buzzing - just the fishy folk still setting up and combing their crushed ice. Lady in café pleased to see us...GCs have gone up a whole 10 cents but still worth it! All done by before 9 and we returned via Tulette and their brand new Intermarché ...we know how to boogie!
And then a walk round the fishing lake and onto the dried up bed of the Aygues. Cicadas on stun setting! Not much water in the mighty river but Adrian managed to lie down in a trickling channel. He will not give publishing rights to my photo so you will have to let your imaginations run riot. Getting hot so we returned to base.
Today is Tour de France Grand Départ so here are some pix of Gallant Little Belgium and its beautiful capital.
The tinies in yellow sang the Marseillaise then the Belge National Anthem to the assembled multitude including Eddy Merckx and King Philippe.
