Still here

not much to report as we have scarcely set foot outside! Here’s Uzès.

We had a delightful early Sunday evening with Evelyne and Nicole across the way. And yesterday did nothing except read and escape the heat. Oh and lunch under the mulberry trees in Roaix. And an aperitif at the Bar early evening!
Much the same today (not the lunch of course) although we went for a 40 minute march round the vines at 9 before retreating. Managed a wonderful ten minutes in the air conditioned butchers.

The Tour was in and around Nîmes today and went across the Pont du Gard and through Uzès. Lots of happy memories. I was poised, ipad in hand, for a shot of them going through La Réglisserie which was on their route but the cameraman was too concerned with aerial views of the dry river bed. And no mention of the Haribo factory either! So you will have to be satisfied with La Tour Fenestrelle.

Still debating the wisdom of standing in 37 degree heat tomorrow. We will make an attempt and see what happens. They go past Rasteau and Roaix just before 1 pm your time, maybe 12.45 if they are speedy. ITV 4. We hope to be under some trees just before they get to Rasteau Coop. Might even get the Patrouille or Mirage 2000 as they go past the Orange Airbase. Who knows! They had the Légion Étrangère lined up outside Nîmes today.
